The NORDIF® Pioneer HR4M detector

The NORDIF® pioneer HR4M detectors have the highest available pixel resolution camera (4MP). The detector design fits most SEM specimen chambers and hence the detector is interchangeable between SEM chambers. The HR4M applies a GigE Vision™ camera with maximum resolution 2048x2048. Very flexible on-chip binning (2x2, 3x3,4x4….8x8). The detector comes with low distortion optics and a large phosphor screen implying a large working distance operation range, no need for detector tilt and a lower risk for screen damage due to a long specimen to screen distance. The NORDIF® N3 user friendly acquisition software with auto functions and a special trapezoidal distortion correction is included. The N3 also includes orientation contrast color imaging by use of on-chip windowing (similar to so-called fore scatter detectors). As other NORDIF Pioneer detectors the HR4M detector can also easily be refurbished in the future to have an up to date detector at low cost.
