Details:

The NORDIF EBSD acquisition software was the world’s first acquisition software optimized for pattern streaming. The new user friendly N3 acquisition software is continuing this optimization. New camera functions like auto gain, auto exposure, combined auto gain/exposure, pattern and imaging on-line averaging are among the new features in N3. The software is compatible with all NORDIF UF- and NICE EBSD detector series. By using adjustable sizes and positions of regions of interest on the chip contrast imaging is available. Orientation-, topography- and Z-contrast imaging can be performed without any use of silicon diodes or other hardware. A special scan distortion (trapezoidal) correction has been implemented in N3. This feature is useful in connection with stitching of large area maps. N3 is compatible with free Hough- and Dictionary Indexing software.
